The 4th Congress of Azerbaijanis around the world started in June 3, in Baku with the opening speech of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. After the official opening of the congress, the Diaspora organizations and members of Congress held panel discussions.
By decree of President Ilham Aliyev, awarded the individuals on June 3rd for their contribution to the development of Azerbaijani Diaspora. The awards ceremony was held in “Gulustan” palace, and government officials, MPs, prominent scientists and cultural figures were among guests.
Representatives of 49 countries and more than 500 guests attended the congress. The Diaspora Azerbaijan in Spain, was represented by the head of “Azerbaijani Society in Barcelona” – Karim Karimov.
